Malaseb is a medicated shampoo formulated to treat seborrhoeic dermatitis, a skin infection involving bacteria (Staphylococcus) and yeast (Malassezia), and aid in the treatment of dermatophyte (ringworm) infections. The shampoo kills micro-organisms, helping to keep yeast and bacterial numbers at manageable levels. It also removes excess scale and oils commonly produced when the skin is infected, and gets rid of allergens like pollen that can irritate the skin.

Ingredients:
20 g/L Chlorhexidine Gluconate
20 g/L Miconazole Nitrate

Directions for Use:
Use with caution around eyes. If shampoo enters animal’s eyes, flush thoroughly with clean water. 

Seek veterinary advice if eye changes are observed. 

Animals should not be left unattended during the recommended 10 minute shampoo contact time as licking or inhaling shampoo foam may result in irritation of the gastrointestinal or respiratory tracts.

This product is not recommended for use in rabbits or species other than dogs or cats.Wet the animal thoroughly with clean water.
Apply shampoo to the animal at several points and massage into the coat. A sponge assists lathering and penetration of shampoo into the coat. 

Ensure that Dermcare Malaseb medicated shampoo is applied around the lips, under the tail and between the toes as these areas harbour causative microorganisms. 

Leave shampoo on the animal for 10 minutes then rinse off thoroughly with clean water. 

Repeat twice weekly until symptoms abate, then weekly or as directed by your veterinary surgeon. 50 ml of Dermcare Malaseb medicated shampoo would be adequate to treat a 30 kg medium hair length dog, and 7-10 ml of Dermcare medicated shampoo would be adequate for an adult cat. 

When treating Ringworm (Dermatophytosis), all in-contact animals should be treated 10 limit infection spreading and environmental contamination.Will irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. When using the product wear rubber gloves. If product in eyes, wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use.
